A daring and darting centre with Harlequins, he was the youngest ever England captain at twenty-two and steered them to back-to-back Grand Slams in 1991 and 1992, and to a third Grand Slam in 1995.

An OBE, he skippered the team that finished runners-up in the 1991 World Cup and scored 54 points in his 72 England appearances. He captained England a then record 59 times. Wiltshire-born Will was an Army officer before concentrating on motivational speaking and corporate hospitality.
