Veteran radio correspondent, Tony Adamson gained his first experience in broadcasting during his time with the Forces Broadcasting Service in the 1960s. In 1970 he joined BBC local radio at Oxford, working as a sports reporter. He joined the BBC Radio Sport and Outside Broadcasts Unit in London in 1977, and soon became one of the most familiar voices on the air. He was particularly renowned for his Wimbledon commentaries! In 1989 he was appointed Golf Correspondent for BBC Radio, a job that took him all over the world.
